Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have recorded in dozens of studios and recording with Lewis was the best experience I have had. Because of his skills and experience we did pre production, recording and post production for 2 songs in 2 days!! Lewis is lighting fast at editing and mixing and knows his gear inside out. To top it off hes a lovely down to earth guy, with great musical knowledge across different genres. Highly recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Been coming to Dead Basic for the last couple of years to record, always a great experience and a good laugh! Lewis caters to our sound, setup, or any way we want to run the session. Providing advice right the way through the process. He deserves all the credit for putting up with my over the top perfectionism at the editing stage. I reckon there’s still some hum in those verses mate!

Couldn’t recommend dead basic enough and looking forward to returning in 2026!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In the 7 years we’ve been working with Dead Basic Studios, the main thing I’ve realised is how modest “Dead Basic” is as a name for a place with the level of professionalism and effort they put into each project and each session. Time and again, we’ve come to Lewis and Thom to develop ideas, record, rehearse and shoot videos and are always met with sincere enthusiasm and walk away either a product that is bigger and better than what we walked in with.
Much love to all the DBS crew 💕💕

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've recorded at Dead Basic Studios on a number of occasions now and always had a great experience. Lewis and the team are very supportive and want you to produce the best possible results. I enjoyed working with Lewis as he understands both the creative and technical side of the recording process.
